More Para-Teds For Hornsea Ambulance Station
photo courtesy of Andrea Kirk Hornsea Gazette
The Lions Shop received a phone call from Sue Harrison, (centre) they had run out of Para-Teds and “Please can you source some more for us?” A rummage through the office we had 5 left over from the last photo-shoot back in 2014, those 5 were delivered immediately. It was two years ago since we last supplied 100 to the Hornsea Ambulance Station. That’s an average of 1 a week. However the previous suppliers of the Para-teds no-longer printed the teddy shirts, so Lion VP Ken trawled the internet to find another source and quickly negotiated and organised a resupply with a nicer teddy bear. So here we are LP Mike Johnson and Lions Frank, Mel, Alan and Ken presenting the latest batch of 200 to the Para-Medic team at Hornsea. Two minutes after we had removed the Teddies from the Windscreen of the Ambulance, it was off, Blue Lights Flashing with a Para-Ted “Charlie Bear” a new member of the crew.
