Hornsea Methodist Church: The pledged grant had now been released.
The NHS Health Visitor requested donations for equipment to help a 2 year old girl with multiple problems and a single mother . A donation of £520 for a special pushchair was agreed.
Proposed: Lion Phil Seconded VP Pat. AIF. Lion Ken T. declared an interest and took no part in the discussion or the vote.
Mayor of Hornsea’s Charity Auction: there were no suitable prizes from the shop and so a grant of £25 was agreed so that the Mayor could buy a suitable item.
TUSK: deferred from a previous meeting. A donation of £500 was agreed.

Hornsea Rotary; Request to become a sponsor or to take out an advertisment in the brochure for the third of a marathon race on 11th April 2010. Agreed the LP would request costs for an advert.
Applicants Name, on behalf of the Girls Under 12s Football team : now moving from 7 to 11 a side and to Under 14s, so request for additional strip. Agreed to pay for the strip on receipt of the bill.

Chamber of Trade, Hornsea: request to help fund the hire of festoon lights for the Christmas display. Agreed to pledge £1,000 as a donation.

Hornsea RUFC: Request for funding towards the provision of kit and equipment for the mini-rugby team. Further information on details of kit and costs would be requested.
Great British Oaks: a beneficial organisation providing support to families experiencing hardship. Current project to provide training for a worker to carry out Conductive Therapy for children with disabilities in the East Riding area. Currently, the organisation has raised £38,430, including donations from the NHS Trust. Agreed- to refer to next meeting.

Meregarth residential home: request for funding towards new Christmas lights for indoor trees and a large outside feature. Agreed to donate tree lights from the shop and £100.

Pop-In: Request for funding towards a Christmas outing and lunch. Hornsea Freeport was unable to support as usual this year. About 50 members were expected to go, at a cost of £10pp for the lunch and around £370 for the coach. Agreed to donate £400 for the cost of the coach.

NHS Health Visitor: Request for funding to buy a lap top computer for a woman suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, so that she could communicate with her friends. Agreed that the request be refused.
MD District Secretary Lion Peter Wilson: disaster appeals for the Philippines and Samoa tsunami. Agreed to donate £500 to each.
